The Duet 3 Tool Board is a CAN-FD connected expansion board for the Duet 3 Mainboard, specifically designed to centrally manage all components of a direct drive extruder.
Compatibility and Mounting:
It is natively compatible with e3d Hemera (v1.2) and Hemera XS (v1.3) extruders thanks to matching mounting holes and connector locations. It can also be used with other direct drive extruders with suitable brackets.
Connections and Features:
The board consolidates all necessary connections: stepper motor, heating element, temperature sensor, associated fans, and optionally the Z probe and filament monitor.
Main Advantage:
This centralization significantly simplifies wiring by requiring only two types of cables between the Tool Board and the Duet 3 Mainboard (or Tool Distribution Board): CAN-FD cables for communication and power cables.
